Twin Shadow / Sunday, January 16th at the Grog Shop
Twin Shadow will be stopping in town for a Sunday night dance party, the last tour stop in the States before taking the party across the pond. Twin Shadow, aka George Lewis Jr., is originally from the Dominican Republic and is now being broadcast to us all via the hipster vision that is Brooklyn. His haunting vocals combined with synth pop cloaked in an 80s aesthetic will make you yearn for the days of Bowie, Billy Idol and those Boys from The Pet Shop. His debut album, Forget, was not only produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear, but also released on his label Terrible Records. He's been fittingly described as "an electro soul balladeer" who, when asked about his age, says "he is too young to die." After the show, the party moves downstairs to B-side where DJ Party Sweat and DJ Dangerous Cousins will be spinning 80s staples, presented by Music Saves.

Kid Sister / Friday, January 21st at the Grog Shop + B-side Liquor Lounge
You are going to want to get to "your toes done up and fingernails matchin'" when Melissa Young aka Kid Sister brings her pro nails and her get-fresh attitude to Cleveland Heights. Hailing from Chicago, she is the first lady of electro hip hop-R&B club jams. Kid Sister has brought her sass and class to the stages of Coachella Festival, Lollapalooza and SXSW, among others, so this proves to be a comparatively intimate – though no less raucous – performance. Her talents appear via the Fool's Gold Records imprint, founded by A-track (Kanye West's DJ), whose roster, which includes Cleveland native Kid Cudi, Cool Kids and Crookers, is a who's who of those getting you to move. The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as Kid Sister recently dropped a new mix tape blended by the Nick Catch Dubs, to help you brush up on your moves before the show. With all the craziness going on in the world today, you can count on the charms of Kid Sister to be your sunshine on a cloudy day of B.S.
