Since 2002, Marianne Frantz has been guiding wine enthusiasts as the founder of the American Wine School. Frantz is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and a Certified Wine Educator. She also holds a diploma in wine and spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and is a candidate for the Master of Wine. At Cellar Door in Beachwood, Ohio, Frantz runs American Wine School's tasting room, classroom and retail shop.

In this episode of At Cellar Door, Frantz is giving the scoop on four tops: the natural cork, the synthetic cork, the glass stopper and the Stelvin screw cap. There are pros and cons to each, and wine expert Frantz shares her insights on what real oenophiles think. Frantz also demonstrates how to properly open a bottle of wine with a natural cork, and how to open a bottle of sparkling wine without  taking somebody's eye out. After all, what good is a bottle of wine if you can't open it?
