If you enjoy beer, you're probably already a regular at La Cave du Vin in Cleveland Heights' Coventry neighborhood. Although its expansive wine selection is not to be ignored, many come for the unique selection of beers on tap and in bottles. There are literally hundreds of microbrews and imports to choose from, so making a decision is as fun as it is daunting. In this episode of Behind the Bar, Erich Lasher, La Cave du Vin's self-described "resident wino and beer nerd," discusses three beers he loves and two he hates. The results are informative and hilarious.

What's funny is that while I will be certain to try out the recommended beers I haven't had yet, now I'm determined to get my hands on some of the 'ghastly' beer. The orange was like flat orange crush and ground up st. Joseph's chewable aspirins, as I recall, and I won't need to refresh (and I am a fiend for orange too, i think it's the off taste of the plant parts of the blossom that makes it stick like packing tape to your tongue). The pink, I've never seen, but will search out at my next opportunity. That's a killer review, posted it on my profile too.

So, Jose and I were talking and thinking of some beers we would love for you to suggest to our friends. Unfortunately, these friends are typically into the vodka + cranberry or mojito variety (if you know what we mean) of beverages. We would love to bring these friends into La Cave and enlighten them, what beer would you suggest they drink?
