Cleveland's University Circle is home to enough world-class institutions that a tourist with two days to spare would find it difficult to get to everything, even given the convenient proximity. Yet with all the fanfare, there remain undiscovered treasures, some quietly thriving for more than 50 years.
Established in 1954, the University Circle-based Gestalt Institute is the world's largest institute for the study, development and application of Gestalt, a German word that means a complete pattern or configuration. GIC's professional and personal development programs draw participants from all over the world, and the institute can be a valuable resource in helping individuals, families and organizations thrive during these challenging times.
On December 3-5, GIC is offering Gestalt Experience Workshop: An Introduction to Gestalt, an opportunity to learn more about Gestalt and its applications to everyday life. GIC faculty will demonstrate and discuss basic concepts and methods in a small group format. Called "transformative" and credited with reducing occupational burn-out by many who have participated in such workshops, the experience can have profound effects on relationships at work and home.
