As the saying goes: We are all witnesses. Hearts routinely broken and faith always tested by our local heroes, we've been lucky enough to watch The Myth of LeBron unfold. (Although it's hardly a myth: It doesn't get more real than the numbers James puts up.) Now, sportswriters Terry Pluto and Brian Windhorst have compiled the authoritative reference on number 23, with LeBron James: The Making of an MVP, published by Cleveland-based Gray & Co. The book is deceptively slim, with 90 color photos covering James' career from high school standout to NBA MVP. Pluto and Windhorst offer more than a collection of greatest hits, though, telling the story of what shaped the superstar as both a player and a man.
This month, we're giving away a copy of the book each week. All you have to do to win is share your favorite LeBron moment in the comment section below. Was it the thrilling win over Detroit that put Cleveland in the NBA finals for the first time ever? Was it the MVP announcement? A spectacular dunk at the Q? If you have a Facebook account, you don't even have to register to comment - just use your Facebook login information.

until a championship is won, its gotta be the 48 special over detroit. i was watching the game at a sports bar in brooklyn with friends and as it unfolded we became more and more astounded. definition of "beast mode", and the looks on the faces of the pistons' fans only sweetened the deal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgfSpdNi9aU

Good answer Doan, but I have to disagree. The greatest moment was when LeBron signed with the Cavs. Season after season the Cavs were horrible and nobody even went to the Gund. If it was not for those terrible seasons we would not have had #1 pick and LeBron. When he held that jersey on signing day you knew Cleveland sports were finally headed in the right direction.
